This is a large rustic well-made basket. It is sturdy with a very thick handle and Twig branch supports on the side. I am not a basket expert or collector I just happened to stumble across this and used it for years to store my winter hats and scarves in. I am guessing of the time period on it for date of creation. It may have a few minor flaws so please refer to the pictures. The only minor flaws I noticed were mainly on the inside with a couple frayed twigs but they all look attached and everything is functional.
This basket is large enough to hold 2 gallons of milk in. I just love this sturdy basket however I am downsizing and I think someone would appreciate it more than I would. This would be a cute Reusable shopping basket or to display in your living room. I could picture this on a fireplace as an accent piece or toting around with at a farmers market.
